I do think it is very important. What really does concern me is the ludicrous quota our (Scottish in my case) fishermen have to work to. They have to through back the fish that are to wee to keep which are already dead. Wouldn't it make far more sense to follow what Norway( I think it is) who allow them to land and THEN fine them but no dead fish are thrown back into the water which surely does more damage to these precious numbers?
I would like to buy British caught fish where I can, and be able to see clearly where it came from and by whom. Is our love of bargins and supermarkets perhaps responsible in a way for this hot potato of cost versus sustainability?
